Students Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month Through Dress-Up Days

Students are celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with a series of dress-up days that highlight culture, community and self-expression. The celebration gives students opportunities to share parts of their heritage and learn about the traditions represented across our school community.

The dress-up days began Sept. 16 with Traditional Hispanic Wear Day. Students wore colorful dresses, embroidered clothing and other outfits that reflected their families’ traditions. On Sept. 18, students took part in Soccer Jersey Day, celebrating a sport enjoyed by families and communities around the world.

Two more themed days are part of the celebration. On Sept. 25, students are invited to wear the national colors of a country’s flag. The series concludes Oct. 2 with Western Wear Day.

Throughout Hispanic Heritage Month, these activities offer students a chance to express themselves, celebrate their backgrounds, and appreciate their classmates' cultures. We look forward to seeing how students participate in the remaining dress-up days!
